The Dunes of Timlalin: the unmissable spot
Located between Agadir and Tiznit, the Timlalin dunes extend over several kilometers. The height of the dunes (some exceed 30 meters) makes them perfect for sandboarding. Fine, dry sand slides perfectly, even for beginners.
Unlike other sites in Morocco, the dunes of Timlalin are easily accessible from Agadir in 30-40 minutes, which allows this activity to be combined with other excursions on the same day.
How is sandboarding practiced?
Two styles of practice are possible:
- Standing (surf/snowboard style): you go down the dune standing on a board. This style requires a little balance but can be learned in a few tries.
- Sitting (sled style): easier and just as fun, perfect for children and the less sporty. Speeds can exceed 40 km/h on large dunes.
